Sirince is approximately a one hour drive from Izmir airport. It is an easy drive on motorways for most of the way, followed by a short drive up into the hills.

 

GETTING TO SIRINCE FROM IZMIR AIRPORT​
 

Follow the signs for Izmir to get out of the airport. As soon as you pass the police control you will see a brown sign to Ephesus or Efes and AYDIN. Take this fork to the right and then continue along this road for about 5 km until you see a large green sign for AYDIN. From there follow the green signs for the motorway to AYDIN.

After joining the road, travel for about half an hour and then take the turn off for EPHESUS and SELCUK. After 10 kms you will see SELCUK CASTLE on an outcrop of rock in front of you and you will pass a few petrol stations. As soon as you enter the town of Selcuk, you will see a turning to your left and a brown sign for Sirince. Turn left here and pass under the railway bridge. Turn left again in 200 meters.This road will bring you to SIRINCE.

 

 

DIRECTIONS TO TERRACE HOUSES

 

​The streets of Sirince are steep, cobbled and very narrow. It is possible to drive up to the houses and park by the fountain, but for your first time we suggest that you walk to decide whether you feel comfortable driving the car up the narrow cobble streets.​

When you arrive at the entrance of the village, you will see an old building on your left called ARTEMIS. Continue down the street to the right and you will see the village minibus stop on your left, and the mosque ahead of you. Turn left, the road leads you to a central square with a car park on the opposite side.

After leaving the car, go back into the square and you will see a covered walkway leading into a market on the far left hand side of the square. Go straight in and keep going until the market opens into another square, where you should turn left. ​

​Leaving the grocery shop on your right, go up the cobbled street. Continue straight on past a small fountain on your left and keep going up the road past the tractor park and open space on your right.​

If you look up you will see a wooden doorway to the Terrace Cafe straight in front of you. Go through and up the stairs and you will find us waiting for you.
