GRAPEVINE HOUSE

Grapevine House is a restored 19th Century cottage and is the largest of our three houses. The house comfortably sleeps 6, you will find original features and quirky fixtures throughout, from the carved wooden ceiling in the master bedroom to the hidden away mezzanine bed which is sure to delight.

THE HOUSE AND GARDENS

Grapevine House is a self-contained house on the edge of the village of Sirince. Within the stone walls surrounding it, you will find a large garden where apricot, tangerine, fig and pomegranate trees grow. There are two sun terraces with sun loungers, tables and chairs. The fully equiped kitchen and cosy dining area are on the ground floor. There is a spacious living room, complete with open fireplace, a comfortable 'sedir' seating area and beautiful views offering comfort in every season. There are two bathrooms, both with rain head showers, one downstairs and one en suite upstairs.

An open staircase leads to the three bedrooms. The master bedroom has double aspect windows with far-reaching views across the valley, while the second bedroom can be double or twin bedded and has an ensuite bathroom. The smallest third bedroom will delight children offering a nook bed , all bedrooms have air conditioning.

All the rooms have been furnished with great care and attention, mixing contemporary pieces with antique rugs, original fixtures and local arts and crafts.

A complimentary breakfast of fresh local produce is served daily at the Terrace Cafe which is just a short walk away down a stone track. If you do not wish to cook during your stay, there are a number of tasty restaurants within a 2 minute walk, or you can join us on the Terrace for a 3 course evening meal or a lunchtime snack.

RESTORING GRAPEVINE HOUSE

Grapevine House was the first house that we restored in Sirince. It belonged to a local shepherd, who had been living in one of the rooms. The rest of the house was inhabited by swallows, and what were once the stables downstairs had long since been abandoned.

Restoration work began soon afterwards, and without disturbing the tangerine trees, we meticulously worked to return the house to its former 19th Century glory. Grapevine House took 16 months to complete, and some time was then spent putting the final touches to the interiors, adding shutters and cast iron woodburners.

We are very happy to welcome children to our houses, but please be aware that the houses are not toddler proof. Sirince is a safe village with few cars. There is also a wonderful beach with great facilities and excellent swimming at Pamucak (12km) which children of all ages will enjoy.
